[SOLVED] Different gpu's for each monitor

Hey everyone, i've got a question about running different gpu's for each monitor. To be more specific, I want to run a GTX 970 G1 for a 1080p 60Hz monitor, and an RTX 2060 for my 1440p 144Hz monitor. Any thoughts or advice would be appreciated Thanks!

Is there a reason that you want 2 different cards to do that? 2060 can very well handle both monitors. At the very least, even the integrated graphics (in case you have) can handle the 1080p monitor.

I just want to be able to have the highest fps possible on my 1440p monitor, and i already have the sli970's. probably give one 970 to the wife for her rig.

Honestly unless you game in both monitors, you are not gonna see a serious fps drop in your 1440p. You can always use the integrated one as I said before.

I happen to have 2 monitors atm, one 1440p 144Hz and one 1080p 60Hz both connected to my 1070. The difference I see in fps is 0-5 in comparison to when my 1080p is connected to the integrated .

I tried such an experiment way back when.
If the side monitor is relatively static such as email, performance monitors and such, it makes no difference in fps if it is attached to the gaming monitor.
You have the means to try this yourself.
I bet you can't tell the difference.

Cool, thanks for that. I don't have integrated, however, if the fps is that negligible, then i'll just hook both monitors to the 2060 and give my wife both the 970's.
