Hello.

In my motherboard I have 4 slots of RAM. Currently I have two memories installed RAM 2x4GB @ 1866MHz (both are identical, same brand, same frequency) then I think adding additional 8GB of RAM with another kit 2x4GB, but they are not the same brand as those that I have installed, but are at 1866MHz (2x4GB)

My question is, when you have these installed kit installed, you can change the frequency to 1866MHz smoothly? Double Dual Channel that would be? This applies to? or will stay with different frequencies in the end? Will it work without any problems @1866mhz???

I will leave more information about my RAM and motherboard.

Motherboard: GA-990FXA-UD3 rev 3.0

The kit that i want to add is:
2x4GB Kingston HyperX HX318C10F/4 @1866mhz

Information about the RAM

Corsair: (This is what i have installed 2x4GB)

Solution
pick one set and go with it. Mixing types and voltages and latencies with ram is problematic and is generally regarded as a bad idea.
