Different types of RAM

Hi,
I currently run an FX-6300 with a Gigabyte 78-LMT USB3 motherboard with 8gb of Corsair Vengeance RAM (2x4gb). After my exams I am going to upgrade to a 4690k and a new motherboard with more RAM. Will I need to get more Corsair Vengeance or can I use any type? I will be looking to have 4x4 sticks in total.

You could buy another type of RAM but I highly recommend you don't. I would highly reccomend buying the same RAM you are running right now as they will have the same speed and the same cas latency and will run much better than if you mix sticks
