dilema between upgrade and wait

im have around 670$ right now , my lspecs right now is :

i3 3220 3,3ghz (stock cooler)
gig h61m-s2ph
2x8gb ram 1600mhz avexir core white ddr3
1x 200gb 7200rpm hdd 3,5inch samsung
2x600gb 5400rpm hdd 2,5inch hitachi
enermax naxn adv 82+ 650w
venomrx ragnaros case

shall i upgrade to i7 6700k + b150m motherboard , or wait for zen and intel newcomers ? plz dont tell me to go i5 since i will doing heavy 3d render and photorealistic (as my college stuff)

what gpu are you using ....isnt 3d rendering more depnadnat on gpu /// i think it was like 30% cpu /70% gpu ??

^^^^ really ? my friend said "dont ever render with your gpu , it will shorten its lifetime" , im only have 2 gpu one is gt 730 another one is hd 7790

rendering stuff and learning is just for 1st semester only in my college , after that it would go to other topic like coding and etc

7790 is decent for rendering ..... about shortening life spans ....even if you dont use the hardware ...it will only last for max 5-6 years....
and best way to render is combined that way ...you will get fastest rendiering whille not any load wil be ona a single hardware piece ..

Heya, it is very much dependant on what program you will be using for rendering and photorealism. For instance Octane will leverage the use of the GPU to massive effect, whereas I believe Maya and/or Inventor are much more CPU based, with less support for GPU's, or outright none without specific plugins. ~
