Question Directx versions missing, all games crash on load

Since yesterday, no games have been able to load, and all give errors pointed at directx, typically 11 or 12. I've tried reinstalling directx, it says i have the most recent available version, I've installed an older version, and made sure my gpu drivers are updated. I've also done a full reinstall of windows to no avail. Any advice?
Also if relevant, here are my pc specs:
i5 4670K
16gb DDR3
GTX780
Corsair 750W PSU

Question - DirectX error in just one game after computer restart

I restarted my computer yesterday since the memory was running at 80% and I couldn't figure out which program was causing it, after the restart it went down to 30% but I then found out my game (divinity original sin 2) would shut down with this error message. I have: clean installed NVIDIA...

Windows 10, steam games, I tested this on Kenshi, Dmc5, Sekiro and aoe2, which works as it likely doesn't use directx. And no, I don't believe so, this occurs in every game that uses directx
