[SOLVED] Disable 2 (of 6) Cores in Ryzen 2600x - OK?

Hi,

A novice question here. I have a particular game where its confirmed that for my CPU running 6 cores creates CTD, but 4 does not (or 8).

Can I create any permanent issues using AMD Ryzen Master to disable 2 of the 6 cores, and giving the aforementioned solution a try?

No permanent issues as a result of limiting cpu. Number of processor in Windows msconfig, like the option in Ryzen Master, is an option to troubleshoot if required. The setting can always be undone so do so if you need.

What game is it btw? Could be sensitive to how insides of Ryzen cpus are divided as described here, but crash to desktop as a result is surprising. Must be an old or not well supported game by it's devs.
