Disc Cleanup not working.

Archived from groups: microsoft.public.windowsxp.perform_maintain (More info?)

On using disc cleanup, it freezes at the 3rd digit and will not continue at
all. I can do a cleanup by going in and doing the usual deletions etc.but I
would rather trust the automated way. Can anyone tell me how to get it up and
running again.I am using MS Windows XP Pro
