Depends on the game -Did you notice a performance increase when you upgraded to a 6700k?

This explains way there isn't. A difference 2 x 780 Ti's shouldn't have a problem with a 1080p 60 hz tv

I ran my 144hz for about a year with my 780ti's and my 2500k before i moved onto my 6700k. Heck awesome sauce network did a comparison between the 2600k and the new 6700k and there was at most like 5fps difference if i recall correctly. With the 2500k at 4.4ghz its still even today a very fast and capable cpu.

To me those sandy probably the last gen from intel that's really exciting. They have very good OC potential and the temps does not goes crazy like what happen with Ivy. hence personally i'm still holding onto my 2500K. before that i have E7500 OCed to 3.6Ghz. if i want to upgrade i want to see similar jump that i did back then lol 😛

Ok first how we go from talking about the new GPU's to processor's I do not know, but has anyone heard anything about the release date. I mean some people are already taking pretty orders and I have not even heard of a price or date yet. Just going from April to early summer. Right now I am hearing june. Anyone at all know or can confer any dates. At this rate the new AMD cards and processors will be out first.

Honestly i was hoping mod could make new sticky thread for pascal already do we can direct all our discussion over there instead people keep making new thread about pascal.

Anyway nothing is confirmed until nvidia do their official launch. We could some talks or leak here and there but anything can change until official unveil. in any case on consumer front nvidia does not need to rush things up. Right now they were quite confortable with the lead they have on market share. Deep down nvidia probably hoping for amd to make their move first before taking theirs. Being late does not necessarily bad for nvidia. Kepler already show us that much. To maintain their lead nvidia would at least need to keep the fastest single gpu crown on their side. Ao if they launch later they can adjust their product so they can have thst the fastest crown. I think amd to certain degree also want to launch later so they can adjust their card further and vlaim the fastest title. But with their current market share they can't leisurely waiting. They need to attack.

So as it is nvidia was expected (not confirmed) to launch their card before computex so board partner can show their custom model during the show.

The pre-orders: i believe that is for nvidia DGX-1 that will be available in june. If you want a single tesla P100? Wait until next year lol. This year nvidia will be busy to give all those P100 to customer that already booked them maybe since last year and save some for their DGX-1 unit.

Ok, but I know people are doing so, I have seen it, no idea how it is or how it is working, but they are, either or has again nothing to do with this thread, maybe we should stick to the topic at hand, and the one I did look at was a deposit and waiting list setup, no idea on the others I clicked it to see if they had a date or something, I am following this because I to have people asking me about this and wanting more info about the cards. I only know the little I have read and right now the cards being released are the 1060, 1070, and 1080, and there is talk of the 1080ti, but either or has nothing to do with the subject at hand. Again look around the internet and you will find some correct and m available information, I have and did and yes these are the names and cards and all from the president of nvidia in different interviews. But again, I have not found a date for the release and yes they were already supposed to be released. And I guess I am just like everyone else thinking there is someone on the inside who knows a little more then the rest of us who secretly releases info from time to time, but I guess not.

Where is a link to the for sure naming? I've seen nothing but rumors around the web. There have been rumors of a 1xxx name and also a x80/x70/x60 naming scheme. Anything to do with pascal has everything to do with this thread since thats what this whole thread is about. Also the RUMORS of what range of cards will be released are just that rumors. Midrange, low range or high end.......Again until you can provide a link either from nvidia directly or a interview with jen-Hsun Huang saying in that interview that they are releasing what cards and when and what they will be named its all just rumors.

Honestly thank you for that reply, and I am already or better yet telling everyone of my customers to either buy 970 or higher or wait, kind of seems like waiting money to buy a card now when the new ones will be faster, have more vram, and use less power. So I do not like even selling products that are already out dated and over priced. So I do my best to sell them what they need, but when it comes to gaming I am telling everyone first when new cards are released the cost of the older cards will come down and if you really want to spend that much money wait for the new cards it will be worth the wait. So I am just doing my best to hold off for the release.

Well "rumors" are the replacements for the titan and 980ti wont be out till 4th quarter if at all this year. So it could be next year before we see something truly faster than the current reigning champ. If the "1060" and "1070" and maybe the "1080" come out they will respectively replace the current 960 970 and 980 but lets be honest the 980 is a waste of money anyway. Especially when you can get a 980ti for under $600. $579 to be exact if i recall from yesterday.

So honestly the 980ti at $579 still isnt a bad price. Also i dont see the prices dropping much at all on current maxwell right off the bat when pascal drops. Thats just not what history really shows us. I mean the 780's and 780ti's still were priced a little high when maxwell hit. It took several months before they really came down in price.
