Disk clean-up

Hello,
When I try to use the above facility, a 'disk clean-up'
pop-up appears with the message 'disk clean up will tell
you how much space you can save. This may tak a few
minutes'. I have waited a full 5 mins. and nothing has
happened. It's been like that for about 1 month. Any ideas
what can be the problem out there?
