Display entering power save mode

The past week or so a problem has arisen where my monitor will randomly enter power save mode and turn off. When I turn the monitor back on it still doesn't have a signal from the PC and goes back to sleep. I can't wake the PC up either and it's not like normal sleep mode. I have to completely restart my PC and sometimes it will enter power save mode before Windows is even booted up. I've tried three different monitors so that's not the problem. Tried several different HDMI cables as well. Could it be my GPU dying or something else? I've also disabled any sleep features within Windows 10. I appreciate any help.

Check you power options settings. It seems like something has been changed in there that is causing it to enter sleep mode.

In Windows? I've checked and disabled all sleep features I could find.

I should also mention that it seems to do it several times within a short time period and then will stop for a while. My mouse and keyboard stay lit up and I can still hear sound coming from the speakers too if I'm listening to something.

Power off your PC and unplug it from the wall. Remove a RAM stick and boot from it. Once you get into Windows, see if you have the same problem. If not, you should be good to go! Replace the RAM stick once you're done.

I found and fixed my problem. The PCI connectors to my gpu needed to be pushed in more. They were losing connection.
