Display Freezes

i have windows xp and my display has been freezing a lot lately, and if there is video running, sound will continue to come but the cursor would be unresponsive.

i have done the following things to remove this error

repaired windows ( it froze during the installation too!!!)

reinstalled and updated my display driver for nvidia gt 520

what should i do?

Can you tell the rest of the system specs ?
Maybe do a HD check, maybe download CPUID CPU-Z and see if everything checks out ok. Are the problems only when watching video ? Do you get an error before it happens ? When the sound is still playing is the picture also playing ?
You know temperatures when it happens ?

Is it the display that freezes ?
Check the cables. I had an issue with this, and updating the drivers helped.
Check the temps on that card.
