Display Port at 144hz

Hi guys, just purchased a new monitor and I have seen that all display port cables can support 144hz at 1080p. This may be a dumb question but will they all also support it at 1ms response time?

Just wanted to double check before i buy the cable

The response time will depend on the panel. If you have a TN panel, it should have a 1ms response time. The DP cable will just manage bandwidth, which is not related to response time.

The monitor is a MSI G27C2, so there will be no issue yeah?

Yeah, that monitor will run 1ms response time regardless of the cable used.
