Question Display port connection on 27gl83a

So I've had my lg monitor for about a year now and I've always used the hdmi port until I installed a dual monitor setup. However I can't get a signal from my display port. I've tried it with 2 different cables and graphics card and my monitor just says "no signal". The warranty is still valid but I received it as a gift and can't make the claim without the receipt. Is there a way I can repair it?
My monitors refresh rate is also stuck at 100hz even if it's a 144hz monitor.

Hi,

Can you go into the monitor settings and disable the HDMI Compatability Mode and see if it works then.

Additionally, if you disable 'Adapative Sync' in the settings' that should allow you to get 144hz at 1440p on HDMI.

Is this the 2nd monitor or the LG one?

Also what is your second monitors name?

The 27GL83A is limited to 100 Hz over HDMI when FreeSync is active, as stated in the manual online.

Did you change the input to DisplayPort in the monitor menu?

I can't put it to DisplayPort because mine is broken and so it doesn't receive any signal

Hi,

I disabled it and it didn't change but I went into the nvidia control panel and was able to set the refresh rate of the monitor back to 144hz even tho I couldn't do it before so thanks a lot
