Display Port disconnecting.

My Acer Predator Display port keeps disconnecting and yes its wiggly but it has always been like that since i got it since march 2017. It started happening 2 days ago its not all the time but when it happens is sometimes says no signal found or it just does a black screen for like 2-4 seconds and then comes back. I bought a new cable it comes tonight. But idk if that is the issue or not.

Well....try the new cable....and you can always clean the contacts with alcohol and a q-tip...just make sure the machine is unplugged and let the alcohol dry before you fire it up.

Also....you may be able to bend the housing on the Display port a little to keep it snug. Just be careful if you decide to do this. You can ruin things.

The GOOD DP cables have latches built in, make sure it's one of those.

i think it might have something to do with where the port is positioned making it difficult to insert my cable which can in the long run cause issues and eventually break my monitor. I will update if i have any more issues i replaced my cable and it was difficult to put in. The cable wouldnt work at first until i applied more pressure
