For 1440p 75hz, should i use a 2k display port or a hdmi cable? My gpu is a EVGA GTX 1070 Superclocked and monitor is ASUS PB277Q 27" WQHD 2560x1440 75Hz 1ms. Please leave links

Thank you.

Solution
No problem. Use a HDMI cable to one monitor and the Displayport cable to the other monitor. There's no difference until you get up to 4K resolution and over 100Hz refresh. Then, the displayport cable has the higher bandwidth capability.

Can I use any old hdmi or does it have to be a specialized one?

DP and HDMI cables are pretty generic. There's no"specialized ones" for your application. The cables to avoid are the ultra cheap, $0.50 to $1 cables that you can order direct from China, due to poor quality. Or the expensive "Monster" cables - no additional benefit and a waste of money. Anything in between will work just fine.
