Hello,

recently my display has suddenly started disconnecting, it started about a week ago. suddenly when I was playing a game, all my displays just disconnected. I had changed my PSU recently to a 800W PSU but it started a few weeks after I changed my double 6 pin piggy back (as in a 6 pin with another 6 pin connected to it) connector to two separate 6 pin connectors. I would be playing a game for about an hour or 2 to 4 and then suddenly all my displays disconnected and they wouldn't connect back. all sound would temporarily disappear and then it would come back and after a minute I would hear an error but of course I couldn't hear the error and every time I tried to make a screenshot but I could not see the error. after I restarted the same problem would occur more frequently until it starts to happen on me doing nothing on the desktop for about 10 minutes. might this be a faulty cable or can it be something related to my GPU or my OS?

my setup:
Windows 10,
AMD Ryzen 7 5800x 8-core
MSI GeForce RTX 3070 GAMING Z TRIO
MSI MPG B550 Gaming Plus
NZXT C850 Gold v1

Try to describe the error sound.

Possibly heat related. Something eventually warms up and and gets hot over time during game play.

Expansion causes something to lose connectivity or short out.

Double check all connectors: plugs, ports, and cables for signs of damage.

Look in Reliability Monitor/History and Event Viewer for any error codes, warnings or even informational events that may have been captured just before or at the times that the displays disconnected.

Reliability History is much more end user friendly and may reveal some pattern of events leading to the disconnects.

Event Viewer requires more time and effort. To help:
