I can only see WEP 256 but the brochure says WPA with upgrade available
in "Spring 2003".

Does it work in WPA mode then or not? Needs a driver? If so, would
anybody know where to find it?

Thanks
Ramius

There is a WPA Supplicant available for download at support.dlink.com. This
will give you WPA support for this adapter.

No. The download is for the WPA DRIVER. You will either have to use the
supplicant that ships with XP (assuming you are using XP) or for
Win98/Win2KPro you will have to BUY the Funk (or another) supplicant ($50 I
think for the Funk supp.).

Dlink DOES NOT supply the supplicant.

The latest D-Link driver (version: 7.0.0.29) supports WPA. It is tricky to install. Uninstall old driver (version: 6.0.0.18). Only insert pcmcia card into PC once the new driver (D-Link G650+_v3.10b19_940824_Multi) is installed and PC re-started. New hardware tool will still try to use old drivers and ask for a file (gplus.sys) just cancel it and in device manager, update driver, choose "have disk" method and from list of available drivers select version 7.0.0.29 and install it. It doesn't need the gplus.sys file. Claims to also support WPA2 but I haven't tested.

Thanks very much siganid. This worked for me. And I am also using WPA2.
