Dlink MultiMedia Centre

i have one, the wireless is good, as long as it is the only thing running on the wireless, otherwise running on cat 5 works great. if you do go wireless, you will need to open it and move the antenna cable to the aux connector as the main gets very little signal. you will also need to upgrade the bios, and server software before trying to watch anything.

this is a great product for people who download lots of videos

Yeah, I have heard about moving the antena before. But wasn't to keen about that! I have a Dlink MIMO router about 3 metres away from where the Media centre is going to go.

My main reason behind it is to play my music, I have it all on WMA and wish to play some movies.

Whats the play back like? Decent quality. I supose it shouldn't matter to much because I download mostly Anime.

How easy is it to change the Antena?

the playback is awesome. i don't have cable so i download and watch all the shows i like. some videos are a little choppy, but i've checked them out on the pc and they are the same there.

the hardest part is opening it up. it has about 12 screws. and you have to lift the back and slide it forward from the front.

took me about 10 minutes, but thats just because i'm slow.

Excellent, I'm a bit more confident in buying this product now!
I work with a lot of D-Link equipment because of my work (My boss has a bit of a hard on for Dlink)
So I am very familier with the software.

Any other interesting tips I should know?
Whats the highest WMA files it will play, all my music is converted to WMA 192kbs.

Cheers
