DNS For Gaming

hi , im playing an online game and its servers are located at ( Bavaria, Germany | Amsterdam, Netherlands ) and im living in iran , so i tried to find the fastest dns in those countries or in EU , is that how it works?


but the DNS tools i downloaded dont have many dns addresses
i found a long list of 3800 uk dns addresses but i dont know how to add them all in the softwares so i can find the fastest , i really need to find out whats the fastest dons for me that is located in eu or in NL DE or UK

EU1 - Bavaria, Germany (login.p1.worldoftanks.eu)
(92.223.1.92, 92.223.1.102, 92.223.1.112, 92.223.1.122)

EU2 - Amsterdam, Netherlands (login.p2.worldoftanks.eu)
(185.12.240.100, 185.12.240.110, 185.12.240.140, 185.12.240.150)

i have to test all of them , even if a dns is fast sometimes i cant access them i think its cuz of filtering :fou:

DNS is usually only used once in a game (to find the IP of the requested server) - you won't get any performance increase by having a 'fast' DNS server - a slow DNS might take a few seconds for that one single request, a fast one a few tenths of a second, but it's only a very few requests to establish a connection, it wouldn't affect gamepleay. I'd start with Google's free DNS (8.8.8.8 and 8.8.4.4 from memory) and then work from there?

Solution
DNS will make no difference because the game will not make DNS lookup queries to servers it is meant to run on. Game software will not make DNS requests like we humans intuitively do, so the only thing you should worry about is latency
