I have a DNS server (Windows 2008) set up for a small domain (65 computers). I use DHCP to set the DNS servers to the internal ip address of the DNS server, and then list our ISP's DNS servers. So it looks like this in IPCONFIG /ALL:
DNS SERVERS:
192.168.0.3
66.180.96.12
64.238.96.12
On the DNS server, I have a static IP address and it lists the two ISP servers for the two DNS servers.
Do I have this set up correctly?
I do not have any forwarding set up. Should I list the ISP DNS servers as fowarders instead of in DHCP?
Overall, DNS is working OK - just want to make sure I have it set up properly.
