I am just wondering if emulators or roms are illegal? I suppose I could download an emulator and possibly the ROM, but I don't want to break any laws and end up in prison...

Both "The Dig" and "Grim Fandango" were both made by Lucas Arts - who made Full Throttle, and were both made by the same person who made Full Throttle. While I don't like these types of games, if you liked Full Throttle, you'll feel right at home with those two.
