I just bought a 5950X for my AM4 board. I know that Zen 3 had a vulnerability called Inception. After the vulnerability was found, a patch was released that costs up to 54% performance in some workloads. After the vulnerability was found, did future manufacturing of that CPU get a hardware mitigation, so you can update BIOS but not lose all the performance?

I know of Stepping variations. Which one do you have? As per my cruse search I don't see any Stepping that isn't affected by said vulnerability.

I'm not sure what you mean by Stepping. I dont know which version I have as it hasn't arrived yet. I'm just thinking that it would make sense that future chips would come with hardware mitigations so they wouldn't have to take a performance hit. I want to know if the 5950X did
