Hey guys,
I was planning on buying a 9900k pretty soon but people keep telling me not to because of intel security flaws that allow attackers to steal information from the cpu. Is this actually something that I will have to worry about? And if so am I better off just going with ryzen? I only was going to buy the 9900k because I primarily only game on my computer btw.
thank you.

Personally I'd say no, I believe that generally the attacks are happening between virtual machines, i.e. allowing 1 VM to see/infer the memory content of another VM or the host, if you have control the VM.

What other flaws are out there? no idea, but it would be unlikely that some will not be exposed in AMD's CPU's.
