Hi all
I've read almost all the related threads and questions online on this topic and tbh I got more confused than before lol.
my case is that I am getting the Legion Pro 5 16ARX8 (Exact version hyperlinked)
and I have the acer nitro vg271u 2k 170 hz (Exact version hyperlinked) that comes with a display port 1.2, which I didn't know before and got me shocked more, because now I am running it on ASUS ROG Strix Scar II GL704GW using Mini DP to DP 1.4, I didn't pay attention to the DP versions when I got the cable, and it is working fine on 2560X1440p 170HZ with HDR always on.
Now back to the legion, since there is no DP,
do I get an HDMI 2.1 to DP 1.4 cable (similar to/or this)
or a USB-C to DP cable (similar to/or this)?
I fear of falling into unexpected bumps (bit rate, transfer rate, bottlenecks... etc), so please let me know if there are any issues for using any of the options above.
if the above options don't work, can I simply get a usb-C male to DP female adapter? are there any concerns here as well?
