[SOLVED] Do I have a defective CPU?

Hey guys,
Recently I just finished building my first PC for the 2nd time now. The first time I sent back my motherboard and power supply, because my friend told me a faulty CPU is extremely uncommon. After receiving the replacement parts, I reassembled everything and I still get the same problem. That being the computer turns on suddenly (fans and all) but then immediately shuts down. I’ve disconnected the CPU power and booted up the computer and found everything else functioning. So I know it can’t be the motherboard or the power supply again. I was trying to get a word from an expert. Is it possible my Intel Core 7 is faulty?

Can be many things.
Have you tried running it outside of the case just using
motherboard+CPU+cooler+1 stick or ram plugged in
and the PSU.
Nothing else

Alright, so far I have nothing happening, I may be messing something up, but I’m not quite sure.

You will need to bridge the connector with a metal screwdriver where your power switch would connect in order to turn it on.
