Do I have to rebuy windows 10? (Upgraing from pre-built pc)

I have never done this before, I am sorry because I have seen similar forums here and videos but I cant get a clear answer. Okay so I am upgrading my pc. A big upgrade I am getting a new motherboard. So I have no SSD Just an hdd. When I replace my mobo will I need to reinstall or rebuy windows? If I get an SSD and just put windows on it will that work? I currently have a 760gma p34 (Fx 6300 Processor) and I am going to upgrade to ryzen. This was a prebuilt pc from newegg. Thanks

This may work, seems you just create a backup image, and then reload that image onto the SSD. Seems like kind of a pain in the butt, but it beats paying for a 2nd license.
