Do I need 2 PCIe x16 slots to install a double slot GPU?

This might be a bit of a stupid question, but it's my first time im upgrading my pc and right before i bought the gtx 750 ti I realised it said it took 2 slots. I only have 1 PCIe x16 slot, but i have read that the amount of slots it takes only matter of how much space it takes in case you want more than 1 gpu.

Is this true?

If i can't install a gpu with 2 slots what do you guys recommend as a 1 slot gpu?

What it means by dual slot is the ports on the back of the GPU, by dual slot, it means that it'll take 2 slots at the back of your case, rather than one. Basically meaning it has more connections for monitors on it.

It still requires one PCIe slot, so don't worry about that.

The backpanel of my pc only has 1 VGA slot (integrated gpu), can this cause any problems?

no. The GPU provides its own(additional) connections for monitors

It doesn't mean that necessarily, that is for the IGPU as you said. When installed an external graphics card, the ports will end up at the case side of the PCIe port. The ports normally end up towards the bottom of the case's back panel.

Thank you once again, my last question (I promise :s) is if i need to do anything else besides installing drivers for the new gpu? Ive read that with integrated graphics you need to disable(?) them in the BIOS.

You don't need to disable them in the BIOS, what I would recommend is downloading the GTX 750Ti Graphics Drivers before installing the GPU (From Here: http://www.geforce.com/drivers/results/96877), then install the GPU, and in most cases you just have to connect your monitor via the GPU not the integrated graphics.
