ive turned on my gaming pc without a gpu and a hard drive. My fans pinned up and seems to be working fine but there is no display on my monitor. Is it because i need a gpu

my specs are
amd athlon x4 860k
asus a88xm-plus mobo
2x2 corsair vengeance low profile

by the way if i do need a gpu for it to work is the Gigabyte GeForce GTX 750 Ti 2GB WINDFORCE Video Card a good gpu and would it be compatible with my specs? i will be playing games such as battlefield 4 and other games

Incorrect. The athlon x4 860k does not have a built in GPU. A discrete graphics card is needed.

The motherboard has no integrated graphics. The ports on the board require an APU(cpu with built in graphics) and the 860k has no built in gpu its just a cpu.

hmm it pc part picker it says wattage as 244w but when i look at the description in the gpu it says 400 wattage i got the Corsair Builder 430W 80+ Bronze Certified ATX Power Supply

Corsair Builder 430W 80+ Bronze Certified ATX Power Supply

you sure the Gigabyte NVIDIA GTX 750Ti 2GB PCI-E Graphics Card wind-force could be good enough for the 430w

The 750ti uses very little power. A good 350w PSU would power that system with a 750ti.

So any 750 ti consumes little watts
