Do I need a graphics card for custom built pc

I just wondering that do you needed a graphics card for pc. As all I know that the mobo itself has a video out port without the graphics card. So my question is that do you actually needed a graphics card or not

Which motherboard is it? Specs? For what is the PC gonna be used?

What will the PC be used for? What motherboard and CPU is it? Chances are you do not need a gpu if you do not want to play modern games

If you plan on doing gaming or video editing, it is highly recommended that you use a GPU otherwise it will put heavy strain on your CPU which is going to cause lag in games and take rendering forever. So, if you want to type documents, browse the internet, play solitaire, then you don't need a GPU.
