Hello I need some assistance on my fan setup currently my case has a total of 2 fans. One intake fan on the front (bottom) and another exhaust fan at the back (top). As we are approaching summer here in Australia i'm sceptical that this is going to be enough for cooling on those warm summer nights. Do I need additional fans and will it even make a difference ?

My case has a total of 6 fan slots

1 Front (bottom) - Used
2 Left Side - Not Used
3 Left Side (Under 2) - Not Used
4 Back (top) - Used
5 Top - Not Used
6 Top (In front of 5) - Not Used

Welcome to the forums, newcomer!

Make and model of your chassis? Might want to list your entire system's specs and also mention the ambient room air temps + the temps you're currently seeing on your hardware/stress test/gaming sessions.

hi.
the best result put 3 fans on front intake, 2 fans on top exhaust and 1 fan back exhaust

Hello Thanks for your reply ! I checked bios CPU temp is 40°c and System Temp is 33°c. I'd imagine this increases when playing games and even more this coming summer.

PC Specs
Chassis/case - Deep Cool Tesseract
Motherboard - MSI Z370 - A PRO
GPU - Nvidia Geforce 6GB GTX 1060
Power Supply - 600W Casecom
RAM - 16 GB RAM
CPU - i7 8700

This is a labelled image of fan slots on my pc 1 and 4 are being used

Hello The front only has space for 1 fan intake and it's already being used.
Improved cooling would require additional frontal intake fan.
If front supports only one fan, then there's nothing more you can do.

You could install additional fan in 5.25"bays. Like this one:

So there's no point putting any exhaust fans on the top without adding another front intake ? If that fan you posted fits on the front. How many top exhaust's should I add 1 or 2 ?

If your using the stock cooler that comes with that processor that is the first thing to change as it's not good enough to cool that processor.

Wow thank you for this knowledge. I didn't know it affects the performance like that. I think what I should do is change this CPU cooler first and then try to add a intake fan for the front even though by the looks of my case there's only space for one and add one more exhaust fan (on top) in line with the CPU. Thanks again

That make more sense to do that, thanks but will I need that extra intake fan for the front before I do that like @SkyNetRising said before ?
U dont need extra fan on fron if u dont have place but put that front fan on 80% 90% to work constantly.... In future buy better pc case.. Fan on top is importan to clear hot air made by cpu ok.. I see your pc case put on side fans to intake air and will be fine in that case fron fan ce be working normal default speed

I have no fans installed for the side they're only fan slots. I only have front and back fan installed.

You could. But side intake would need a fan filter or you'll get your pc full with dust.
Additional front intake fan is the best option (without changing pc case).
Hey mate sorry for the extended discussion, so I'm going for the (1 side intake) + ( 1 top exhaust) setup but my PC case has mesh dust filter for the top fan slots. When I do add the fan should I remove these mesh filters It seems like it'll still have air flow ?
