Quick question; title says it all really but I can't seem to install AMD drivers. My current graphics card is GTX 650 however when I put in my new AMD R9 280x there is no display. Fans work and everything but no display.

Is this because I do not have the correct drivers?

Solution
Uninstall the nvidia drivers! I always before upgrading cards go in device manager uninstall the card (removes drivers)/shut down and swap cards/ startup and install drivers with the new card.

Yes, do a clean uninstall and reinstall of the drivers.

However...

You problem sounds more like the card isn't seated properly in the slot or the PCIe power isn't connected or insufficient.

Try re-seating the card AND your system RAM (sometimes gets bumped when upgrading and can also cause blank screen)
Also make sure your monitor is using the proper video input type for the cable/connection you're using.

Hello, you can uninstall the following ways:

1. Go to Device Manager -> Video adapters -> Driver -> Uninstall (check "Delete the driver software for this device" box)

2- Using the specific software "Display Driver Uninstaller (DDU)" Here you will have more options to remove PhysX, folders and files, etc ..

3- Use Revo Uninstaller software. It will remove the driver, folders and files and clean the Windows registry. It would be the most complete solution in my opinion.

To reinstall a driver's cleanest way would be to download the driver, install them from device manager (Inverse process of first choice!)

do you usually play intense graphical games or do you do just business? because i think for gaming its recommended.
