Question: what do you think would give me more fps, an i3-8100 paired with an rtx 2060 or an i7-8700 paired with a gtx 1060 6GB?
Background & info: my current build has an intel i3-8100 and a gtx 1060 6gb paired with 16GB of 2666MHz RAM, and i use it for 1080p 60Hz gaming. I'm planning on updating my setup by upgrading the monitor to an 1080p 144Hz monitor, the i3 to an i7-8700, and the gtx 1060 to an rtx 2060, i'll get to this in the course of about 8 months. I'll get the monitor first since it's what will affect my gaming experience the most, but then i have to choose if i want to upgrade the cpu or gpu, and i want to get the best performance possible in the meantime so i wonder what would give me the most fps: i7-8700 + 1060 6gb or i3-8100 + rtx 2060.
Consider that i use my pc for heavy games, MSoffice and web browsing, no streaming or workstation use.
