I have never use SSD before.

For normal hard drive, there are symptoms like bad sectors, diagnostic tools showing error, click sounds... before it die. There is still a chance of repairing bad sectors to recover data.

When a SSD die does it die immediately without any symptoms and is there any chance to recover data?

CrystalDiskInfo, or whatever diagnostics your manufacturer provides, can show an indication of overall drive health.
But generally when it dies, it is dead.

As far as recovering data? That comes out of your backup.

Don't fret over it though. Current consumer grade SSD's are proving to be more reliable than HDDs.
