I will continue using touch on a laptop. It is useful while sitting in confined spaces like planes or relaxing and just using it to read and scroll through information or code with Sublime Text. Never will be a tablet owner because I am a consumer and producer that doesn't like having a lot of devices; touch laptop for day to day, mini-itx desktop for gaming, and a smart phone. Firefox works great with the toggle grab and drag extension. Use it with both Windows 8.1 and Linux (Gnome), main OS, Gnome is the most touch based GUI for a standard computer. Just because software is lacking there is no reason to evolve away from it. Helps with developing HTML5 or mobile applications too. Also by utilizing different muscles and fingers for iteration, it eases carpal tunnel symptoms.
