Question Do you think its the drivers or my video card causing this error: Display driver nvlddmkm stopped responding

Display driver nvlddmkm stopped responding and has successfully recovered.

I had this issue with my Asus 1070 1 to 2 years ago but it went away. I don't recall what actually fixed it. I did the driver clean, reinstall etc.. It just stopped happening. So I'm leaning driver/OS issue again but I don't want to sit on it if its a hardware issue.

My new MSI 3070 Ventus 3x has blanked out 8 times in 6 weeks with the above error message in event viewer when not gaming. The Brave Browser also will flash the entire screen repeatedly. I don't have issues in any other browsers. I've never seen the nmlddmkm crash error while playing games. The card passes every stress test I throw at it.

temps are in tolerance
