Does Action Replay work on newer GameCubes?

I read on the web somewhere that the Action Replay doesn't work on
newer GameCube systems. Does anyone know if this is true or not?

i have that problem. my action replay read on my old gamecube but then i
got a new gamecube and it wouldn't read the action replay disc. my
gamecube was a week old when i tried the action replay. i know it is not
my gamecube cause it plays my games fine . i also know it isn't the
action replay cause i tried it at the store before i bought it. i guess
someone just doesn't want me to cheat lol.

Untrue, they work. Although sometimes you do get a bad disc from datel and
the gamecube doesn't read it properly. But you be fine

I would request a replacement disk from Datel..

i did get a replacement disc that played on the store's gamecube. by the
way their gamecube was an older one; so they told me. but when i got it
home the action replay disc wouldn't play on my new gamecube. like i
said every game plays fine except the action replay.
