[SOLVED] Does AMD VSR stress the gpu when not in use?

I wanna use VSR just to up the resolution to take screenshots every once in a while and then going back to regular res, works perfectly.
Question is, does having VSR always on but not using it tax the computer? I know it technically is not doing much work until the point where i actually use a higher resolution, but still.
I just want to know if i can leave it on and don't worry about it. Or if i have to turn it on every time i want to actually use it

I think VSR is always on till you disable it. And it would make the GPU work harder.
It shouldn't make much difference though. Does it make the GPU heat up?
