Does anyone know how I can get my 'Epson Perfection 2580 PHOTO' Scanner to work with Windows 8.1? AndyMac

I have it working on a couple of different computers with 64-bit Win8.1. You will need to download and install the Epson TWAIN Driver and EPSON Scan Utility v3.04A which is actually for Vista 32-bit systems (I know this sounds counter-intuitive but it works). Link Here

The program will not run immediately after installation; there is one more thing you need to do...after you install the software it will put a shortcut on your Desktop. You will need to right click on the icon and select Properties. Under the Shortcut tab verify that the Target: is set to C:\Windows\twain_32\escndv\escndv.exe.

Click on the Compatibility tab, check the box for Run this program in compatibility mode and set the Compatibility mode to: Windows XP (Service Pack 3) then check the box for: Run this program as an Administrator.

Click on OK and you should now be able to run the program.
