Does anyone use both Gc and mobo monitor with duplicate display?

I have two monitors , one is connected to the mobo and the other is connected to the graphic card , i use w+p to and press duplicate but it doesnt work , it does nothing , i want to make sure that having them connected on different parts isnt the real problem because im now thinking to invest either on a adapter or even on a new monitor in order to connect both monitors to the graphic card because this might be the real problem but i dont want to waste my money to find out.

To clone, the monitors need to be connected to the same gpu.

So are you saying that this is 100% a problem? are you sure? because i can do other stuff like extend display even though they are not connected ont he same gpu , is cloning an exception?

Extended desktop will work fine with that setup, but as I said clone mode requires the displays to attached to the same gpu.
