Which serial number of Celeron800 overclocks more ???
I have bought one and when I came to buy another but
remained the type SL4TF
Does anyone find the serial number of C800 good to overclock
??
Here is mine :
Box
SL55R
FPO/Batch : Q125A322
Pack Date : 07/10/2001
Mainboard : GA6OXET
RAM : Kingston Infineon
1.72 V run 139*8=1112 MHZ
RAM can run 222 5/7
CPU Mark99 = 85
Though the performance is much lower than the TB system
but i think it is the cheaper way to keep my S370 boards working ...

celery tends to reach 1050ish and then doesnt go beyond it... no matter whats printed on it... if you want an o/cable box get a duron 600 which can be pushed beyond 1ghz quite easily... celerys doesnt allow itself to be fried... prefer asparagus

if in doubt blame microsoft...

thats sweet.
personally i would have gone for a 800 duron,
but +300 mhz is still +300mhz *grin*

the cellery 800 is based on the 100mhz fsb is it not?
can u tell us what FSB are u using now?
and what temp does it run at full load?

Quote from the Hamster: "Why is it that Morons are just smart enough to understand how to breed?"

Ya, The Celeron800 typical FSB = 100MHZ
and we can adjust to the 133MHZ without adding voltage
so 133*8 = 1064 MHZ
we can still try higher FSB= 139, 143 ,...

I guess the max speed of CC0 Step .18um Celeron or P!!! at the air cooling system is about 1.2G
it seems easy to find the "133" MHZ FSB Celeron to overcome the sync problem between CPU FSB and RAM at BX or 815EP boards
if the processor runs FSB =100MHZ,RAM also runs at 100MHZ
it is so bad ...
Although Via 694X has the async design between FSB and RAM Speed, but the performance is lower than BX or 815
Having the 133MHZ FSB at BX or 815 will not waste the 133MHZ RAM and also good for the system performance
I have do some tests
Celeron633 over 1036MHZ CPUMark99 = 72 109*9.5
Celeron800 over 1080MHZ CPUMark99 = 81 135*8
Celeron800 over 1112MHZ CPUMark99 = 85 139*8
...
I use the 135*8=1080 because the PCI=33MHZ
Taisol 1G FAN
CPU Temp is about 41('C)
Full work the temp is about 43('C)
