And does it affect sequential reads or only random reads?
So I have a SATA II port in my PC and am think of getting a 520 MB/s DRAM-less SSD thats SATA III. So it will still be faster than the stock 100 MB/s HDD?It's mostly useful for write speed during a short period of quick burst (maximum performance mode).
In normal working condition, the DRAM cache has no significant advantage vs DRAM-less version, especially if your computer is slow (for example you use SATA 3 SSD on computer with SATA 2).

Even though SATA II locks it to 240-300 MB/s?
