[SOLVED] Does HD 6850 Support 2k 165 Hz?

Hello, my monitor supports 2k 165 hz and i connect with dp cable but i get maximum 120 hz in all resolutions. The dp cable is its own cable that comes with the monitor. I also get maximum 60 hz in all resolutions with the hdmi connection. my video card is sapphire Hd 6850 and as far as i know its dp output version 1.2 where could the problem be?

Gtx 770/780 tops out at 120Hz in 1440p despite also being dp1.2. Limitation of the card itself and i suspect it's the same deal with your card.

I sent a mail to Sapphire and they said that the card does not support 2k 165hz. In this case, the problem I'm having seems normal, but why can't I get high Hz at low resolutions? For example; 144 Hz in Full HD

144Hz should be possible in 1080p. Try set hz in Windows monitor adapter rather than in adrenaline. Also try custom resolution utility.

Can you recommend a tool that changes resolution and hz? windows and catalyst do not allow above 120.
