[SOLVED] Does HDMI 2.0 work over usb-c 5GB/s?

Hello,

I plan on using an usb-c dock and will be connecting my monitor to the HDMI 2.0 port on the dock. This link to the laptop is 5GB/s and I am wondering if this holds back the performance of HDMI 2.0

Laptop: Huawei matebook 14 2020

USB C if video capable does DisplayPort natively. HDMI 2.0 requires an active adapter from DisplayPort. At least some devices do HDMI 1.4b alt mode over USB C. But I'm not aware of any for HDMI 2.0 without an active adapter.

Why don't you link to the dock so we can check it out?
