When reading it's storage specifications, it says this:
Intel® Z390 Chipset :
1 x M.2 Socket 3, with M key, type 2242/2260/2280 storage devices support (both SATA & PCIE 3.0 x 4 modes)
1 x M.2 Socket 3, with M key, type 2242/2260/2280/22110 storage devices support (PCIE 3.0 x 4 mode)
6 x SATA 6Gb/s port(s)
Support Raid 0, 1, 5, 10
Intel® Optane™ Memory Ready
I have read the manual too, but there's nothing that clarifies if the 2 m.2 slots support NVMe.
I have been given a hint that only one slot supports nvme but i'm not sure where he got this.
I plan to upgrade to nvme, but i don't know if I can only install just one as boot drive and plan to buy another larger one for general storage later.
What exactly does it mean when it supports "both sata & pcie 3 x 4" or just "pcie 3 x 4 mode"? Which one of these sockets supports nvme? I can't quite guess this one either.
