Question Does RTX 2060 ASUS require the "tweaking" software to run?

I notice now almost ALL of these new GPUs have their own software made by EVGA/ASUS/ZOTAC/GIGABYTE/MSI that you can use to tweak the graphics card. Do I HAVE to install that?

Or can I just install standard Nvidia drivers and uninstall that/never install the extras? Sorry, old cards never had that stuff. I assume it will work fine without, but just want to be sure.

If i get what you're saying right, you're referring to the programs such as evga precision and msi afterburner and so, these programs you don't really have to download, if you wanna overclock your card or set a more aggressive fan curve to the card when it reach a certain load you can use these programs to do so, else you don't really need them i have an rtx 2060 FE and i only have experience installed that;s it.

Ok thanks! This is what I figured, I typically don't need to OC, so I just won't use them. I'll just use standard Nvidia drivers.

well other uses for these programs is just when you have a graphic card that has an LED strip on it or something just to control it thats it.
