Every CPU + the relevant cooler needs thermal paste.

Whatever cooler/fan thing you get already has paste preapplied.


You do not need anything else.

That already has the required stuff preapplied.

To clarify, there must ALWAYS be thermal paste. On a new cpu, typically a stock cooler will have it on the bottom of the cooler. If you buy an aftermarket cooler that doesn’t have it on there, then you need to apply it. I typically put a small dot in the center and use my finger to spread a thin layer. Others do it different but that method has worked for years for me.
