The newer Radeon cores indicate as SE's on SiSoft Saundra. They also overclock way over 250mhz. Looks like ATI went ahead with the core modification and manufacutring of the revised core but decided not to officially propagate another Radeon version which would compete with the Radeon 2. That is my best estimate of what happen.
This setup is an outstanding value for the money, these scores are better then most GF2 Ultra scores overclocked. We are talking about a card with 64meg DDR ram, VIVO for $150 that outperforms the Ultras in DX8 stuff. Right now I think those are the best cards for the money, better then even the LE. Some people are overclocking these SEs to 280mhz without problems, what is holding them back is the 5ns ram. Since now many more manufacturers will be producing Radeons maybe we will see a very fast 3.8ns mem Radeon going at 275mhz/550mhz.
