The title says it all, but let me go into detail for my type of situation.

I have a new MSI GTX 980 Ti Golden Edition, an i7 4790k, and 16 Gigabytes of RAM.

Now my issues is money (Somewhat). I want to get my components as soon as possible. The mother board is really holding me back. I have on my list right now a X97 gaming mobo. It's a huge $150!
Is there any mother board I can spend for say $80 (no lower, please. I want atleast a med tier) to a $110.

Does a mother board affect FPS to begin with?
I have no interest in overclocking, I just want to build my PC and jump into Battlefield.

Thank you so much!

Your other cheap option is the Asrock Z97 Pro4: http://www.microcenter.com/product/446594/Z97_PRO4_LGA_1150_ATX_Intel_Motherboard
It's $90 inc shipping from MicroCentre, and you and take another $10 off with an MIR if that's of value to you.

It's a slightly better board with a few little extra bits (better power delivery, has an M.2 slot (albeit a slow x2 Gen 2 slot).

Just bear in mind that with either of those boards you're forgoing SLI in future.

There's an Asus Z97 board which can SLI and has USB 3.1 too, for not much more @ $105(or a bargain $85 if you can use the rebate)...

I said I have a new, meaning I have already bought them. An i7 and the GPU.

I was kind of thinking more of an ATX ( the bigger mobos)
Sorry for the incontinence, I just really need help with this part.

Once you hit the $110-120 bracket there seem to be a few options from Gigabyte and ASRock (among others) with proper M.2 slots as well as SLI support.

With motherboard shopping you're really buying features, not performance. So it's a matter of deciding how much each feature is worth to you.
