Does this mean my Motherboard LAN is dead?

So I was working on my PC today and I replaced the CPU cooler and reinserted everything back together. After the PC booted up I see the ethernet icon in the bottom right bar and it says no connection available and has a red X, even though the ethernet cable is plugged in.

I rechecked everything and there was no orange light at all now. I checked in the Device Manager and found no Network Adapter option or an Other option. The only way Im writing this on the said very machine is a 150mbps USB 2.0 Wireless Adapter. I also donwloaded the Drivers on the motherboard website for the LAN but halfway it say something about the Realtek Ethernet Controller not found? and something about Sleep Mode.

So does point out that the LAN on my AM4 motherboard is dead? I'd like some help with this as this is the first time I have encountered this problem since I began building PC's last year.

It would be rare for a ethernet port to fail. Most times it is because it was physically damaged, but just disassemble and reassembly of a computer would not likely cause the issue.

It is most likely a bios issue. There are all kinds of strange power save setting in bios now days.

Your best bet before you buy a motherboard maybe to clear the cmos on the motherboard and completely reinstall windows and all the drivers.
You know I thihink it might be a hardware problem. I think that i may need a new AM4 motherboard. I did what you have said earlier today but it still didnt solve it unfortunately.
I think i may just go and buy one of those pcie Ethernet adapters. Until i have enough money for a new mobo.
