Does turbo boost harms processor or motherboard

is intel turbo boost 2.0 in i5/i7 processors and overclocking is the same thing ? if not then what are differences ? .what are the damaging effects of turboboost and overclocking on the processrs and motherboard? how i can quit overclocking of asus P8Z68-V-PRO ?
if any one knews these answers then plzZ comment .

My system is:
core i5,2500K
asus P8Z68-V-PRO
kingston DDR3 1333MHZ, 8GB
500 GB hardisk
no graphic cards or 3D cards installed

turbo boost shouldn't damage a cpu because it operates within the cpu's limits as long as the cpu is running at stock speed and is not overclocked.
leaving turbo boost enabled after overclocking the cpu over it's limits is not recommended. because the cpu would try to oc itself beyond it's already overclocked frequency and would very likely crash.
what do you mean by 'quit overclocking'?

thanks for ur reply. i want to shutoff the overclocking of my asus p8z68-v-pro motherboard and want to bring it to normal settings normal multiplier normal voltage normal frequency every thing my motherboard was overclocked by my friend and he is off the town these days . so how can i do it . anxiously waiting for ur reply !!!!!

Get an aftermarket heatsink, if you get an i5-2500k and don't overclock it, its kind of a waste.

Well if your friend have a stable OC on your computer, then just leave it as it is.
